Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan Thursday emerged champions of the 2023 edition of the ValueJet Cup Pre-season Tournament.
They defeated Beyond Limits Football Academy 2-0 in the grand final decided at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne.
Malomo Taofeek scored 3SC’s first goal in the 16th minute when he headed home a cross from Gali Falke.
After supporting the first goal, Falke in the 20th minute scored 3SC second goal that gave the club victory.
The brilliance of Beyond Limits FA goalkeeper, Dele Aiyenugba’s son, Daniel, was not enough to save his team.
For emerging champions, Shooting Stars SC grabbed the winner’s gold trophy and N2million cash price, while second placed Beyond Limits FA got N1.5million for their efforts. OYO NEWS
