Adeniran, who spoke in collaboration with the Oyo State Commissioner for Education, assured residents that security operatives under the coordination of the Commissioner of Police had taken charge of the situation.

According to him, a tactical response team has been deployed while intelligence and operational efforts are ongoing to secure the safe rescue of the pupils and restore peace to the affected community.

Following the development, the Board directed all primary schools in neighbouring communities, including Surulere, Oyo East, Oriire and Olorunsogo, to vacate immediately until further notice.

The Board said the temporary closure became necessary to prevent further attacks and allow security agencies stabilise the area.

OYOSUBEB appealed to parents, guardians and community leaders to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information capable of causing panic, assuring that the government would continue working towards the safe return of the abducted pupils.
