Skilled Artisans to Be Engaged At LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Annex Project- AROSAD

The Project Consultant for the ongoing rehabilitation and construction of the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Annex in Oyo town, Hon. Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi, popularly known as AROSAD, has assured that skilled workers across various vocations will be engaged as work progresses on the facility.

AROSAD gave the assurance on Tuesday while hosting chairmen and executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across Oyo Federal Constituency, where he provided updates on the project and solicited sustained grassroots support.

He explained that the meeting was convened to brief party stakeholders on the scope, objectives, and expected impact of the hospital annex, which he said was facilitated through the efforts of Senator Monsurat Sunmonu and approved by Governor Seyi Makinde.

According to him, the project is designed to strengthen healthcare delivery in Oyo town and surrounding communities, while also serving as a training and research hub for medical students and health professionals.

He disclosed that the facility, when completed within the next six months, would be equipped with modern medical infrastructure to bridge existing gaps in healthcare services and improve patient outcomes.

Beyond healthcare services, AROSAD noted that the project would support tertiary institutions—both public and private—in the training of students in nursing, medicine, and other health-related disciplines.

He emphasized that artisans in plumbing, welding, carpentry, bricklaying, painting, and aluminum works would be engaged, creating employment opportunities for indigenes and boosting the local economy.

The consultant urged party members to see the initiative as a collective responsibility aimed at rebuilding public confidence and strengthening the PDP’s image in Oyo Federal Constituency through impactful governance.

In his remarks, Alhaji Kareem Adesina Rasheed Àgbà commended Governor Makinde for prioritizing sustainable development and human capital advancement, describing the hospital project as a reflection of the administration’s commitment to improving citizens’ welfare.

He also praised Senator Sunmonu for her role in promoting party unity and facilitating developmental projects within the constituency.

Similarly, Hon. Sakiru Ojo, former PDP Chairman in Oyo East Local Government, described the initiative as a demonstration of purposeful leadership and encouraged party members to nominate competent and skilled individuals for engagement at the project site.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Oyo Federal Constituency, Hon. Liasu Akinkunmi Alawode, urged party leaders to disseminate accurate information about the project across wards and interest groups to prevent misinformation.

Alhaji Muideen Eyitayo Sunmonu also stressed the need for unity among party members, noting that cohesion remains essential for attracting more developmental opportunities to the constituency.

The meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including party executives and local government representatives, who reaffirmed their commitment to mobilizing support and ensuring effective communication on the project.

Those present included Alhaji Muideen Eyitayo Sunmonu, Hon. Liasu Akinkunmi Alawode (GLO), Hon. Akin Ejalonibu, Hon. Sakiru Ojo (former Oyo East PDP Chairman), the PDP Chairman of Oyo West Local Government, Hon. Akeem, the PDP Chairman of Afijio Local Government, and other local party executives.
