Federal Gov’t Closes Section Of Keffi Flyover For Integrity Test

The Federal Government has closed a section of Keffi Flyover in Keffi, Nasarawa State and commenced integrity test to ascertain the state of the infrastructure.

The closure followed the collapse of a section of the bridge on commuters, causing panic among residents and travelers.

The Minister of Works, Dave Umai while speaking with Journalists in Abuja on Thursday said the closure was to conduct integrity test to determine the extent of damage to the bridge.

Speaking further on some of the bridges with defects on the Lagos ibadan expressway the Minister said the Ministry has conducted investigation on such infrastructure and have made recommendations to the President on the matter.

Umai State that the ministry is putting place appropriate measures curtail sabotage across all the infrastructure noting that, the support of all stakeholders is key in this direction.

He reassures Nigeriana of the unwavering determination of the present Administration towards infrastructure upgrade. OYONEWS
