Ajimobi’s Legacy Remains Timeless- Akande-Sadipe

House of Representatives member, Tolulope Akande-Sadipe has said the legacy of former Governor, Abiola Ajimobi remains timeless.

Hon. Akande-Sadipe said this on Wednesday in a tribute to the former governor, after five years of demise.

The lawmaker representing Oluyole Federal constituency and Chairperson, House Committee on Humanitarian Services, said Ajimobi has left indelible mark in Oyo State.

OYO NEWS reports that late Abiola Ajimobi served as the Executive Governor of Oyo State between May 29, 2011- May 2019. He died on June 25, 2020.

She said, “Today marks five years since the passing of a visionary leader, a mentor, and a statesman His Excellency, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.”

Akande-Sadipe added, “Though time moves on, the legacy of Governor Ajimobi remains timeless. His tenure as Governor of Oyo State was defined by discipline, courage, and transformative governance. He inspired a generation of leaders to believe in the power of purposeful leadership and to serve with boldness, integrity, and compassion.”

The lawmaker said she carries deep gratitude for ex-governor Ajimobi’s role in shaping her political journey.

“His belief in empowering women in politics was not just spoken, it was lived and I am a testament to that. His guidance and encouragement laid the foundation for many of us who continue to walk the path of public service.”

“His Excellency was more than a political figure he was a father, a builder, and a torchbearer. His legacy is seen in every road built, every policy shaped, and every life he touched.”

Likewise, Akande-Sadipe said the recent demise of the former governor’s daughter, Abisola added to the collective grief shared by family and friends.

Tolulope Akande-Sadipe said “the thought of them reunited brings a bittersweet comfort knowing that a father and daughter who lived in service are now resting together in peace.”

She prayed for the repose of their souls. OYONEWS
