Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has stated that his victory in the March 11 governorship election would be landslide, adding that gubernatorial candidates of opposition parties will congratulate him.
Seyi Makinde said with the love and support of the electorate for him and the People’s Democratic Party, nothing can stop his re-election.
Oyo News reports that the governor stated this during a debate organised by Fresh 105.9 FM, Ibadan on Sunday.
Addressing one of his opponents in the forthcoming guber-election, Bayo Adelabu of Accord Party, who equally attended the debate, Governor Seyi Makinde said “I wish Bayo Adelabu well, but I will prevail”.
The governor said with the available meagre resources, he had put smiles on the faces of the people in the state, through provision of jobs and regular payment of salaries.
He said his administration has put in place over 250 Primary Healthcare Centres across all wards in the State, adding that his achievements in various sectors in more than three years would speak for him, and ensure his reelection.
Makinde, who commended the people of the state for the huge support given to his administration since inception, urged them to allow continuity in the State.
The Governor, Seyi Makinde said that governance is for serious-minded people and not for those who lacked administrative capacity.
Seyi Makinde said his administration would never be distracted by political machinations. Rather, it would focus on quality service delivery to the people.
