The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has praised educators in the state and appreciated them for their “tireless efforts” as they joined their colleagues around the world in celebration of the 2023 World Teachers Day.
He made this known in a post on his X handle on Thursday.
He said, “Today being #WorldTeachersDay, I want to celebrate the incredible educators of Lagos State.
“Your dedication and passion in shaping the future of our great city through education are truly remarkable.
“Thank you for your tireless efforts in building a brighter tomorrow for our youth.”
Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, marked the World Teachers Day with educators of the state.
This year’s celebration is themed, “The Teachers we need for the Education we want: The Global Imperative to Reverse Teachers’ Shortage.”
Hamzat posted pictures of the event via his X handle on Thursday.
His caption reads, “Today, I celebrated with the amazing teachers of Lagos State at the 2023 World Teachers Day Celebration with the theme: ‘The Teachers we need for the Education we want: The Global Imperative to Reverse Teachers’ Shortage.”
