Security operatives have arrested two suspected electric cable thieves in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, OYO NEWS reports.
A witness, Rufai Adewale said the suspected thieves were caught at Idiorogbo Akobo Ibadan on Thursday.
Rufai said the suspects were nabbed by a patrol team of local security operatives and residents of the area.
“The two suspected thieves were caught at about 10:00 am today while digging and cutting electric cables connecting to a resident in our area,” he said.
The suspects, Sanusi Muhammed and Suaib Muhammed have been handed over to appropriate authorities for further investigation.
He said, “The suspects are presently being interrogated by officials of the Nigeria Police Force.”
