The popular traditionalist Abdullazeez Adegbola who’s is fondly called Tani-Oloun has finally gotten bail from the four different cases and courts where he’s standing trial for the alleged offence of defamation in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The court presided over by Magistrate A.S Adam where he’s standing trial for two seperate cases granted him bail today in the sum of two million naira and three sureties in the like sum in which two of them must own a landed property within the court jurisdiction or in Oyo State.

He was first arraigned before Magistrate Muhammed Ibrahim through the commissioner of Police by the Association of Proud Sons and Daughters of Ilorin (Ogo Ilorin) for allegedly insulting Ilorin elders and later by the Upper Area Court through a Direct Complaint written by the counsel of one Alfa Okutagidi.

In two seperate cases, One Sheilk Labeeb Lagbaji and Modrasat Muhammed led by professor Abubaka Aliagan have also dragged him before Magistrate Adam for allegedly burning Quran among other offences.

Earlier, the complainant’s counsels, Taofeeq Olateju and Y.Y Ajibade, in the two seperate cases, did not kick against the bail application moved by Tani-Oloun counsel, Barrister Ademola Banks.

Tani-Oloun, while speaking in the open Court during the proceedings, pleaded for forgiveness from the Islamic scholars in Ilorin whom he had defamed and from all the Muslims all over the world, promising never to repeat such act of posting negative videos on his social media handles again.
