Awomolo said the subjection of Kanubto the maximum punishment will serve justice to all the victims of his acts of terrorism.

Justice James Omotosho has stood down proceedings in the case till some minutes to 4pm him to pronounce sentence.

Prosecuting counsel, Adegboyega Awomolo prayed the court to hand down the maximum sentence as prescribed by law.

He faulted the use of the social media platform to cause chaos.

He asks the court to impose restrictions on the use of Social media by Mr Kanu pending his execution in compliance with the sentencing.

If the court is inclined to allow him access to electronic devices it should be with the permission of the NSA.

Mr Awomolo asks that Kanu be kept in the safest custodial center anywhere in Nigeria pending his execution or sentence.
