Team Ogun Shines at 8th NYG in Asaba
Team Ogun has made a remarkable impact at the 8th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State, with impressive performances and a growing medal tally.

Starting strong with a historic first medal in Para Table Tennis, the team’s journey has been marked by significant achievements.
As of September 16th, Team Ogun has secured 5 Gold, 6 Silver, and 9 Bronze medals. Notably, in Shooting, they claimed 3 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze, with Onabiyi Atinuke Imoleayo setting a national record in the Female 10m Air Rifle event. Team Ogun’s shooters have been invited to the national team by the Nigeria Shooting Sports Federation (NSSF).
Other successes include a Silver medal in Golf and a Bronze in Scrabble, while Badminton players have advanced to the quarterfinals. The team’s achievements highlight Ogun State’s commitment to youth sports development, backed by the support of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration.
With more events ahead, Team Ogun is poised to increase its medal count and continue making its mark on the national stage.
