Chief Dare, who commended Honourable Adeyemi for constructing the stadium, charged that the new sports facility should be put into proper use for discovery and grooming of sporting talents in Oyo and neighbouring towns.
“I congratulate the people of Oyo who I believe are lucky to be blessed with a committed legislator as Honourable Adeyemi who dedicated his life to serving his people. I implore youths to use this new stadium to develop their sporting talents”, the minister said.
Earlier in his remarks , the Chairman of Oyo Metropolitan Development Association Bishop Ayo Ladigbolu recalled that the site on which the new mini stadium was built used to be a place for public defecation.

The Oyo Prince thanked the Sports Minister for facilitating the construction of the stadium.
“I am grateful to God and the Honourable Minister for allowing me to fulfil the dream of my late father who was passionate about having a modern sports facility in Oyo. And after completing the new stadium, the sports facility will be handed over to the Oyo Metropolitan Development Association led by Bishop Ayo Ladigbolu for proper maintenance and usage”, Honourable Adeyemi stated.
Highlights of the ceremony include a friendly football game between Ibadan Selected and Oyo Selected which ended in a one-one draw.652 Post Views
