The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Debo Ogundoyin joined youths protesting the mysterious death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba known as Mohbad in Ibadan.
The protesters, number hundreds, converged in front of the secretariat gate today.
The Speaker and the protesters were also joined by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Miss Wasilat Adegoke.
The rally tagged “Justice For Mohbad” took off from Mokola and moved to Sango, Bodija and it eventually climaxed at the main Gate of Oyo State Secretariat, Ibadan.
OYHA Speaker, Ogundoyin, who was recently elected Chairman, Conference of Speakers described the death of the deceased as painful and unfortunate, asking the investigation team set up by the Nigeria Police Force to commence a detailed investigation towards unravelling the cause of the death of Mohbad.
The Speaker questioned why the Nigeria Police Force failed to act on the petition submitted by the late singer on constant threats to his life.
“I joined hundreds of youth protesting the mysterious death of the young talented singer, Aloba Promise Oladimeji popularly called Mohbad in Ibadan today”, he said.
“The investigation team set up by the Nigeria Police Force must commence a detailed investigation towards unravelling the cause of the death of Mohbad”.
“Why did the Nigeria Police Force fail to act on the petition submitted by the late singer on constant threats to his life”, he said.
“The 27year old must not die in vain”.
“Let the hashtag #JUSTICE FOR MOHBAD# continue until those responsible for his death are held accountable”.
