Board Member Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation and President/Founder, Oodua Heritage Organization, Erelu Bolanle Kuku has admonished descendants of Oodua not to let go of their heritage, but exhibit the Rich Cultural Heritage where ever they may be.
Erelu Kuku who has travelled extensively said in her speech at Agodi Gardens on the 29th of November 2020 that, “Time to go into a New phase in the anals of culture and Heritage, is now. Selling our Cultural Heritage will not help, while other tribes are embracing theirs”
She further revealed that OHIO was founded to promote Unity and the course of Oodua Cultural Heritage.
Erelu further enjoined all descendants both Home and abroad to embrace Oodua culture and Heritage.
She revealed that through her wealth of experience in psychology, Human Relation and Resources she has helped young Nigerians in empowerment programmes, with skills acquisition and Trainings.
Revealing the Zeal and passion for the general well being of Oodua descendants both Home and Abroad, a guest, Otunba Chief Balogun said, “a progressive forward looking founder who possess a dynamic and visionary Leadership Traits in her, making it a strong viral Oodua Heritage international organization operating legally since 2019, making it available for whoever that loves Oodua culture and Heritage .
“Our Culture is derailing, it is high time we impact tomorrow, today “
Asides Entertainment and side attractions from traditional dancers performances, SANGO display and many others that made OHIO 2020 carnival a colourful event as local and traditional dishes like local sauce, amala with abula soup were dished for all guests and participants present.
According to Barrister Yinka Oguntimehin, Asoju Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba Land with other prominent personalities who were ably represented, OHIO was described as the most significant factor of building healthy, inspiring, supportive relationships derived in cultural heritage of the Ooduas fathers Land, promoting Rich cultural heritage both in Nigeria and diaspora.
Among other dignitaries present were Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige Special Adviser to the Governor (culture and Tourism) Oyo State also give kudos to Erelu Kuku having same vision of His Excellency Eng.Oluseyi Makinde towards uplifting Culture and Heritage in Oyo state while pledging full support and speaking the mind of His Excellency.
