The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has appointed Mr. Saheed Olayiwola Onipede as Secretary of the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Oyo News learnt Onipede was appointed effectively after the deployment of the former occupant to another agency.
The letter of appointment, which was signed by the Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, stated that in approving Onipede’s appointment, due cognisance was taken of his track record in Public Service.
The Head of Service stressed further that he has no doubt that the new Board Secretary would bring his wealth of experience to bear on the mandate of the Agency to justify the confidence reposed in him by Mr. Governor.
Muri-Okunola also reiterated that the appointment is with immediate effect.
Mr. Onipede, who hails from the Badagry Division of Lagos State, is an Assistant Director (Admin & Human Resources) in the State Civil Service.
