Barr. Kayode Babalola, a Senior State Counsel in the Oyo State Ministry of Justice, is dead.
Until his death, Babalola, who joined the service of Oyo State Government in 2005, was a Deputy Director in the Ministry of Justice.
Babalola died on Monday morning, after battling briefly with illness, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Mrs. Grace Akintunde said to her colleagues on Wednesday.

Mourning the late consel’s death, Akintunde said, “He was an hardworking, godly and simple (man). May God forgive him and grant him eternal rest.”
“He lived to define how best to relate with people and serve God. May God grant you sweet rest,” she said.
A former colleague to the deceased, Kehinde Adegbite described his death as an excruciating pain.
He wrote, “Kayode Babalola (my Mr. Babs) – my brother, friend, Egbon, confidant, adviser, proof-reader, professional colleague, kinsman, gist partner, critic, cheerleader, and companion etc – left mortality for immortality on 10 July 2022.
Excruciatingly painful and sad!”
Late Babalola is survived by his wife, Sophia Illobekeme Babalola, children and family members.
