Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called on Governor Siminalayi Fubara to dismiss all appointees who have served under the Sole Administrators over the past six months.

The Governor returned to the Rivers State Government House on Friday following a six-month suspension by President Bola Tinubu, which had faced widespread criticism.

Despite widespread condemnation of Fubara’s suspension, it persisted for the full six-month period as decreed by the President. The Governor returned on Friday, one day after the Sole Administrator vacated the Government House.

Over the course of six months, Ibok-Ette Ibas made certain appointments that Eze, a former National Publicity Secretary for the now-defunct New People’s Democratic Party (nPDP), advised Governor Fubara to avoid working with.

Eze stated that he anticipates the Governor will dismiss all appointees of the illegitimate Sole Administrators and ensure that no one imposes any individuals on him as his Commissioner or aide. Furthermore, Nyesom Wike has assured not to engage in such unethical behavior by imposing anyone on him.

“For peace to prevail, the State Assembly must reintegrate all members who either resigned or collaborated with Sim Fubara.”

Eze additionally urged Tinubu to reassure Fubara of his protection.

The Governor needs assurance that the humorous members of the State Assembly will not subject him to further embarrassment through any impeachment efforts.

He stated that if this is not done, the Governor should exercise all his authority as the Executive Governor of the State.
