Nigeria and Africa No. 1 table tennis player, Quadri ARUNA has moved one step up to be ranked 13th in the world.

Aruna’s new rank spring from his bright performance at the just concluded ITTF Singapore Smash.

OYO NEWS reports that at the smash, he gathered 260 points to raise his #Week12 tally to 2005 points from 1745 points secured in #Week11.

Quadri Aruna, a 34-year old athlete, defeated Germany’s Ruwen Felus in Round of 64, France’s Alexis Lebrun in Round of 32, Japan and World No. 4 Tomokazu Harimoto in Round of 16 before surrendering to Brazil and World No. 5 Hugo Calderano in Quarterfinal.

Aruna will return to action in April to compete at the $800,000 prize money WTT Champions Xinxiang in China.
