The Management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan (TPI) has directed senior staff of the institution to resume for duties effective from Monday 24th August, adding that this is part of preparations for students’ resumption at a date to be announced later.
According to a statement by tge institution, signed by the Registrar, Mrs. Modupe Theresa Fawale, all Deans, Heads of Academic Departments, all Non- Teaching staff on Grade levels 11-14 (eleven to fourteen) as well as those on essential duties are affected by this directive.
This resumption is to ensure that adequate preparations are put in place for the school’s re-opening and attention given to academic related issues on ground.
The statement enjoined all Staff to wear face masks, use sanitizers/ wash hands regularly and maintain social distance measures in accordance to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Federal Ministries of Health and Education regulations.
The statement also noted that other staff who are not in the category of those resuming may be called at any time if their services are required.
