
PERA 2025 Edition To Celebrate Ingenuity, Excellence on Dec. 7
The 9th edition of the Pacesetters Entertainment and Recognition Awards (PERA), themed “Celebrating Ingenuity, is set to hold on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Mauve 21 Event Center, Ring Road, Ibadan, with strong backing from Nigerian Breweries’ top brands; Goldberg and Maltina.

At the official press conference held on November 24 in Ibadan, the Executive Producer of PERA and CEO of COK Media, Rotimi Martins (Alariwo), reaffirmed the platform’s mission to celebrate excellence among indigenes and residents of Oyo State who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields.
Dr. Adesina Adegunle, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, described PERA as a project that has grown beyond comparison and promised even more impact in coming editions.
Yeye Omolara Farounbi, the Organising Chairperson, shared her excitement about the journey so far, stating that PERA has been an inspiring experience that has helped her connect with exceptional talents across industries.
This year, special recognition awards will be given to industry veterans and changemakers including Mrs. Olaitan CEO BCOS, Mama Y2D, kunle Afod, Senwele Jesu among others
With 25 categories featured this year, the committee emphasized that the awards are based on merit, not lobbying, and that creativity, presentation, consistency, and social media visibility all play roles in the selection process.
The event will also feature a Nominees Party on December 5, where all nominees will receive their official certificate of nomination
PERA remains a self-funded initiative, and the organisers called for more sponsorships to enable the inclusion of more categories and wider reach.
PERA is not just an award; it’s a movement celebrating those who deserve to be celebrated
Pera-2025 is supported by Parallex Bank and this year’s edition is dedicated to the late Akinloye Tofowomo a.k.a Akin Shuga, a very close friend of the executive producer.
