The People’s Democratic Party candidate for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Lanre Sarumi, has promised the people of Ibadan North quality representation if elected House of Representatives member.
Sarumi, who is a Software Technology Consultant said this this weekend when he met with Oke-otunu Market women in Ibadan.
Speaking further, Sarumi promised to promote policies and programmes that align with the Sustainable Development Goals, which will in turn attract developmental projects in Ibadan North-Federal constituency, when elected.
While he assured the traders that he would live up to the expectation of Ibadan North Federal constituents, if given the mandate to represent them, the aspiring lawmaker also empowered the traders with some cash.
Mr. Sarumi said his campaign is centered on citizens’ empowerment, human capital and infrastructure development, which will drive stronger economy through effective legislation and oversight function.
Sarumi added that his agenda includes “people-focused quality representation; welfare of his constituents; facilitating credible projects to Ibadan North; promotion of policies to improve Oyo State; implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among others”.
The candidate promised not to relent in facilitating projects that will develop every ward in Ibadan North-Federal constituency.
He also admonished the electorates to get their PVCs, and vote for all People’s Democratic Party candidates, noting that, “this is our time, I promise not to take your mandate for granted, and I will live up to your expectations”, he said.
The DG, Lanre Sarumi Campaign Council, Hon. Babatunde Olaniyan, while expressing confidence in Sarumi, said a win for Sarumi will be a plus for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, as the constituency will be sending a disciplined representative to Abuja.
He said the Software guru, having served the Constituency in many capacities, on personal grounds, has all it takes to represent Ibadan North-Federal constituency.
Speaking on behalf of the traders, Mrs. Moji Michael lauded Sarumi’s kind gestures towards members of the constituency.
She also expressed confidence that when he eventually wins the ticket to represent Ibadan North-Federal constituency in Abuja, the people will enjoy his tenure.
