Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Seun Fakorede alongside the Management Staff of Shooting Stars Sports Club unveiled Gbenga Ogunbote as the new Head Coach/Technical Adviser of the Club in the early hours of today.
This development is coming after the former Head Coach of the Club, Edith Agoye had resigned his appointment as the Head Coach at the end of last season of the Nigerian Premier Football League.
During the unveiling, he implored Coach Ogunbote to deposit his wealth of experience in promoting the Club at every match in the coming season towards restoring and sustaining the glory of the Club as far as Football is concerned, not just at the local/national level but continental.
Ogunbote who is a former Coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), is fondly called ‘The Oracle’.
This is the third time Ogunbote will handle 3SC, having coached the Ibadan Warlords twice in the past.
During his previous times with the club, the much respected coach had won the hearts of Ibadan soccer fans after rescuing their darling team from relegation on two occasions.
The Oracle, who is revered as one of the best coaches in the country, managed Remo Stars last season and secured CAF Confederation Cup ticket for young team which got promoted to NPFL the previous season.
