The Speaker Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin on Wednesday received hundreds of decampees from African Democratic Congress, ADC into the People Democratic Party, PDP in his constituency, Ibarapa East Local Government.

The event which was held in Ward 7-Lanlate, Ibarapa East Local government, came barely two weeks after an immediate past secretary of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon Akinwale Akinwole, popularly called Wolekanle also dumped APC to formally joined PDP in Ogbomoso.

The decampees who were led by, State House of Assembly candidate of ACCORD Party, Hon. Adepoju Adebodun-Ward 7, Hon Adebayo Adewuyi- Ward 6(Leader of the house 2002), Hon Adesope Awoyemi, Hon Muritala noted that the good work of the PDP led administration led by Governor Seyi Makinde which has apparently rendered competing political parties in the State hopeless, has motivated their move to the ruling party.

Debodun said, “We are attracted to PDP by the achievements of Engineer Seyi Makinde and our Speaker, who is leading and representing us well, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin.

“The current style of governance in the state and even at the grassroot has proven PDP as a credible and better platform that can restore hope and bring dividends of democracy to people”.

In his words, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin commended the decampees for their courage to opening confess the positive impact of the PDP led government on the people of the State.

“I congratulate you all for this decision to join the winning team. I am welcoming you all officially to our great party PDP, and I assure you, the good work that attracted you to the party will not stop.

“This PDP is large enough to accommodate us, you and every other person planning to join us, because PDP is undeniably the most masses orientated political party in Nigeria.

“I am grateful for the support I receive from my constituents, and the leadership of the PDP also welcome you. I can assure my people that, all the school projects ongoing will be completed this year and many more will still come,” he added.
