Oyo Police Arrest Four Suspects over Alleged Kidnapping

The Oyo State Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with an alleged kidnapping and murder case in the state.

This was disclosed in a statement issued to newsmen by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr Olayinka Ayanlade.

According to the statement, the suspects were arrested at different locations across the state following intelligence-led operations by the police.

Ayanlade revealed that the kidnapped victim, Hussinat Abubakar, has been successfully rescued, while three of the suspects were arrested in connection with the crime.

“The suspects have confessed to their involvement in the crime, while investigations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining members of the alliance ,” he said.

He added that the victim is currently receiving medical treatment and all necessary support at a hospital, while the suspects will be charged to court upon the completion of investigations.

The police spokesman further disclosed that Olatunji David Segun, a student of Michael Koleoso Polytechnic, Saki, was arrested in connection with the incident.

According to him, further investigations have commenced to determine the circumstances and motive behind the crime.
