Oyo NUJ Congratulates Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on Ascension as Olubadan

The Oyo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has felicitated His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his ascension as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

In a congratulatory message jointly signed by the Chairman, Ademola Babalola, and the Secretary, Sola Oladapo, the union described Ladoja’s enthronement as a historic milestone and a new dawn in the rich cultural heritage of Ibadanland.

The NUJ praised the new monarch’s illustrious journey in public service, noting his records as a former Senator and Governor of Oyo State. The council said Oba Ladoja’s wealth of experience, visionary leadership, and commitment to the progress of Oyo State and Nigeria would serve as invaluable assets to his reign.

“We pray for long life, sound health, and abundant blessings for His Imperial Majesty as he assumes this revered position. We are confident that his reign will usher in peace, unity, and unprecedented development for Ibadanland,” the statement read.

The union also pledged its support to the monarch, assuring him of collaboration in promoting the interests of Ibadanland and Oyo State.

Reaffirming its esteem for the new Olubadan, the NUJ urged residents and indigenes to rally behind Oba Ladoja to ensure a successful and impactful reign.
