The lawmaker representing Ibadan South East State Constituency II at the Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon Segun Popoola, is dead.
Popoola died on Tuesday night at the University College Hospital, (UCH) Ibadan where he has been receiving treatment. He died at the age of 46.
Until his death, he was the Chairman, Committee on Local Government, Chieftaincy Matters.
Popoola who was elected under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, was among the lawmakers that signed the allegations notice against the Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan.
He was also the candidate of the party for the 2023 general elections.
