The Oyo State Government has presented a beaded crown and staff of office to His Royal Majesty Oba Najeemdeen Afolabi Osuolale Adesola Adelaja (Tukur II), The Gegun of Ayetoro-Oke Land.

The epoch making occasion which happened at Baptist Primary School, Ayetoro-Oke Land, Kajola Local Government, on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 had in attendance representatives of the state government, the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. (Alhaji) Salimonu Afolabi Borikansunwon, other public office holders, Local Government officials, Oke-Ogun Traditional Rulers, community’s indigents and well-wishers among others.

Governor Seyi Makinde, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr. Joel Olaleye, delivered the key note address and equally presented the beaded crown and staff of office to the monarch.

In his speech, the Executive Chairman, Kajola Local Government, Hon.(Alhaji) Salimonu Afolabi Borikansunwon felicitated the sons and daughters of Ayetoro-Oke Land on the official coronation and presentation of beaded crown and staff of office to HRM Oba Najeemdeen Afolabi Osuolale.

Borikansunwon described the occasion as one of the best feats to be attained by the ancient town and local government as a whole, calling on community to ensure mutual cooperation and understanding with the monarch in order to attain more efficient service delivery as he continues to lead.

The Council Boss prayed God almighty to bless the monarch with sound health, knowledge, wisdom and naturally divined inspiration that would culminate in unity, love, progress and peaceful coexistence among the indigents and aliens.

In his interaction with OYO NEWS, the Asiwaju of Ayetoro-Oke Land, Chief Adebisi Adesola showed his gratitude to God almighty, Governor Seyi Makinde and community’s indigenes whose concerted efforts culminated in success of official coronation and presentation of beaded crown and staff of office to the monarch.

The Yeye Oba of Ayetoro-Oke Land, Chief Mrs Adekemi Ojewola congratulated the monarch on successful coronation and presentation of beaded crown and staff of office.

Yeye Oba prayed that the community would never experience setback and retrogression as the monarch received the beaded crown and staff of office.

She however called on diasporan sons and daughters of the community to come home and invest in order to accelerate its progress and development.
