Oyo state Deputy Governor, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan has reiterated the State Government’s resolve to secure lives and properties of residents in the State.
He said this during the inauguration of Community Policing in Oyo State, held at Police Headquarters, Eleyele.
Speaking on behalf his Principal, Governor Seyi Makinde, the Deputy said a cardinal agenda of the present administration is security.
He said, “One of the cardinal agenda of the government of today under H.E Engr. Seyi Makinde is security of lives and properties which is why this administration supports the concept of community policing”.
He called for collective efforts of every resident in ensuring the State is secured, while he urged other security agencies to work with the Amotekun corps.
“Security is everybody’s responsibility and it is our hope that the community policemen would work hand in hand with Amotekun in order to ensure that our communities are crime free, safe and secure”.
