The Oyo State Government on Friday, handed over a new High Court and Magistrate court complex at Ogbomoso to the Judiciary.


The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Bayo Lawal said the Governor Seyi Makinde led administration is prepared to create a biotic relationship between the executive arm of government and the Judiciary.
Lawal noted that justice is the cornerstone of every society, and without it, there cannot exist an organised society.
He added that the present administration is putting in efforts to ensure that the judiciary of Oyo State is restored to its former glory and brought to a higher standard.
Lawal added that the Court complex consists of Court rooms with Judges’ Chambers, Secretary’s office, Registrar’s office, General office for administrative staff, restrooms, and litigants’ room.
He noted that the new Court complex is equipped with the latest technology to enhance recording of Court proceedings.
While handing over the Court complex, the Deputy Governor implored the Judiciary to make maximum use of the Court House for the benefit of residents of Ogbomoso.
In receiving the new complex, Chief Judge of Oyo State, Hon. Justice Iyabo Yerima, appreciated the efforts of Governor Makinde for his timely response to the challenges of the Judiciary.
She added that the new buidling will ease the dispense of judgement by the judiciary.
Yerima equally commended agencies of the State government that assisted in the timely completion of the Courthouse project. OYO NEWS
