The Oyo State Government will kick start the second term inauguration programme of Governor Seyi Makinde on Friday, May 26th, with a Special Juma’at Service, to be held at the Central Mosque, Oja’ba, Ibadan.
Past Governors of Oyo State, Political leaders among other big-wigs have been invited to grace the inauguration of the Governor, who will be sworn in as the 8th Executive Governor of Oyo State.
Also expected at the inauguration are past Senators, Diplomats, heads of international organisations, prominent Nigerians and representatives of foreign governments and agencies.
According to the Transition Committee, the Juma’at service to herald Makinde’s inauguration at the Ibadan Central mosque, Oja oba will begin at 1 p.m.
The Chairman, Transition C’ttee, Segun Ogunwuyi confirmed to OYO NEWS on Thursday that this will be followed by a Special Thanksgiving scheduled to hold at Sword of the Spirit Ministries, Old Ife Road, Ibadan.
The Governor will be inaugurated on Monday, 29th May, 2023 at the Liberty Stadium, Ibadan.
This will be followed immediately by a transition report by the Transition Committee at the Governor’s Office, Ibadan.
Later in the evening, a Gala night will hold at the University of Ibadan International conference centre, Ibadan.
The committee enjoined car owners to adhere strictly to parking instructions, as wrongly parked cars will be towed.
