Following the review of the security situation in the State, Osun State Government has relaxed the 24-hour curfew.
The curfew was declared last Saturday to avert breakdown of law and order.
In a statement signed by Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s Media aide, effective from tomorrow, Thursday, October 29, the curfew will run from 8:00pm to 6:00am daily, until further notice.
“This means members of the public can now go about their activities between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm daily. Security operatives will however be on ground to enforce the new curfew directive, as part of efforts to maintain law and order across the State”, the statement read.
Governor Oyetola commended citizens and residents of Osun for their understanding and cooperation in the last few days.
He also urged them to be peaceful and law abiding, adding that Osun State Government will continue to make efforts to protect lives and property of its people.
