Former governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba, has been appointed as the Chairman, Governing Council of Nigerian Institute of Journalism.

He was appointed on Tuesday and was introduced by the Publisher of Vanguard Newspaper, Sam Amuka at a meeting, which also had the President of Newspapers Proprietors Association of Nigeria, Mr Nduka Obaigbena, in attendance.

Former Chairman of the NIJ Governing Council, Alhaji Isa Funtua, died recently.

Osoba, a journalist and politician has since been receiving accolades on his new appointment.
