Ondo Set For Maiden Cultural Heritage Festival

Ondo State is set to witness a historic gathering as the maiden edition of the Cultural Heritage Festival Experience holds with pomp and colour.

The event is expected to host top government functionaries, traditional rulers, cultural troupes, dignitaries and cultural ambassadors from across the country.

Leading the distinguished guests to the epoch making event as the Special Guest of Honor is the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

Also expected as the royal fathers of the day are the Deji of Akure, His Royal Majesties Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo, Odundun 11 and Olowo of Owo and Chairman Ondo State Council of Oba, Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye are among the traditional rulers who have agreed to grace the occasion to lend their voice to the promotion of Nigeria’s cultural identity.

The Heritage Festival Experience is designed to showcase the richness, beauty, and vibrancy of the Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa culture, three dominant ethnic groups whose traditions continue to shape Nigeria’s collective identity.

From traditional music, dance, food, attire, and craft exhibitions, the event will provide a colourful display of Nigeria’s shared heritage.

Speaking to the Press in Lagos on the essence of the event the promoter and the Chief Executive Officer of AA ENTERTAINMENT AND TOURISM, Amb. (Dr). Abayomi Ajepe noted that the initiative aims to promote unity in diversity, strengthen peaceful coexistence among Nigerians, and position Ondo State as a thriving hub for cultural tourism.

According to him, the event will not only celebrate cultural uniqueness but also foster national harmony by bringing together people of different backgrounds to appreciate their collective values. It is also expected to boost tourism, stimulate the creative economy, and create a platform for cultural exchange.

The maiden edition promises an unforgettable experience, inspiring pride in Nigeria’s cultural wealth and reinforcing the message that our diversity remains our strength.

Side attractions include performances by world-class D.Js, Masquerades, traditional fashion show, cultural artifacts and crafts, musics, games, etc.

Members of the public, cultural enthusiasts, especially gentlemen of the Press are cordially invited to witness this remarkable cultural showcase, the first in this part of the country.
