The All Progressives Congress, APC is taking an early lead in Oluyole Federal Constituency polls, as the results for House of Representatives have beeen counted from six wards at the Idi-ayunre collation center, Oluyole.

Oyo News observed that the House of Representatives candidate of APC, Tolulope Akande-Sadipe garnered a majority of the votes at polling units leading the closest rival, Mogbonjubola Akinremi of People’s Democratic Party with over 1,000 votes.

Our correspondents observed that though some of the 10 wards in Oluyole witnessed a low turnout of voters, they commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for the peaceful conduct of the elections.

The voting process which commenced between 8:30 am and  9am came to an end before 5 p.m.

However the collation of results witnessed some pockets of violence within the local government, despite APC’s lead.

To this end, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced the nullification of seven (7) Polling unit results from ward 7.
