The Executive Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has said his administration would no more tolerate any form of violence in the State henceforth.
Obaseki was speaking in Benin ahead of State Governorship Election in September.
“Nobody has a monopoly of violence,” Governor Godwin Obaseki said. “If they want violence, we will show them violence.”
People’s Democratic Party has accused opposition party of recruiting thugs and unleashing violence on its members
Obaseki said, ” If you see anybody smashing any car because my poster is on the car, let us know and we will show that person we are in Government “.
“I am Governor, Phillip is the Deputy Governor. We are the only two who have immunity in this state”, he said.
“This is a very clear warning”, he reiterated.
