Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commended the brilliant performance of the state team at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

The Governor interacted with the athletes in a video call on Wednesday, urging them not to relent in their efforts.

Kwara has been shining at the national championship, winning several medals in various categories of events.

Governor AbdulRazaq pledged that his administration would continue to support the development of sports and youth in the state.

Games continue at various sports venues and more medals are up for grab for Team Kwara.

Earlier today, team Kwara harvested two gold medals in the male and female singles final categories of squash event at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

Kwara’s Shuaib Giwa and Khadijat Abdulraheem walloped their challengers to win the medals for the state.

Fielding questions from journalists after the event, Shuaib said he had to step up his game, adhering to instructions from his coach to beat his Lagos State opponent who used to beat him before the Games.

In her own chat with journalists, Khadijat thanked the state government and the Sports Commission for the motivation and support before the Games.

Kwara Baseball Team to challenge Rivers in Final Stage

Kwara baseball team has qualified to the final stage at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

The amazing Kwara players beat Ekiti team at the semi final by 4:0.

The Kwara team will now face Rivers tomorrow in the final stage.
