The Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, BCOS Chapel, Comrade Dupe Fehintola has called for the regularisation of the appointment of all ad-hoc staff in the services of state owned broadcast corporation of Oyo State, BCOS.

Fehintola made the call during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun in Ibadan.

She pleaded with the State Government, under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde to give full appointment to the long-serving Journalists and staff members at the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State.

“We appeal to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, Commissioner for Information and the Chairman, BCOs, to make sure that their appointments are regularised in 2022″, she said.

Comrade Fehintola said the long overdue need to regularise the 15 year-casual appointment of members of the union, should be considered by the State Government.

She said this is paramount in her agenda as the Chairman of the union, calling for the understanding of the state Government in the regularisation process.

Reacting, the Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun noted that the State Government, under Governor Makinde’s leadership is a humane government that has been committed to providing jobs to the citizenry.

Olatubosun, therefore declared his support to the new administration at NUJ chapel.
