Northern Senators pay tribute to late Senator Solomon Ewuga

The Northern Senators Forum (NSF) has announced with deep sorrow the passing of Senator Solomon Sunday Akku Ewuga, who died on September 23, 2025, at the age of 70.

Senator Ewuga was hailed as a towering figure in Nigerian politics, remembered for his courage, intellect, and devotion to public service. As one of the founding fathers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a key player in the formation of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), he played a strategic role in shaping Nigeria’s democratic experience in the Fourth Republic.

He also served the nation with distinction as Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and as Senator representing Nasarawa North, where his leadership was marked by community-driven initiatives and a focus on national unity.

Outside politics, Senator Ewuga was equally accomplished. A lawyer and journalist, he earned recognition in professional circles, becoming a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), and the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON). His company, ADPURE Nigeria Limited, was a trailblazer in advertising in Northern Nigeria.

In a statement, NSF Chairman Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua described Ewuga as “a patriot whose vision and service will continue to inspire future generations.”

The forum extended its condolences to his family, friends, and the people of Nasarawa State, praying for his peaceful repose.
