NFTV GM Applauds Raji Adebayo’s Service to Baptist Community
The General Manager of New Frontiers Television (NFTV), Ibadan, Reverend Eben Durodola, has lauded the Chairmanship candidate of the Divine Mandate Team in the forthcoming Oyo State Council election of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Raji Adebayo, for his longstanding contributions to the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC) and, in particular, to the New Heritage Baptist Church, Ibadan.

The commendation came on Monday when the Divine Mandate Campaign Team paid a courtesy visit to New Frontiers Television, a broadcasting outfit owned and managed by the Nigerian Baptist Convention. The atmosphere was warm and electrifying as the team received what many described as a “homecoming welcome.”
Speaking during the visit, Reverend Durodola described Adebayo as “a familiar and trusted friend of the Baptist family,” noting that his commitment to the spiritual and social growth of the church community was well known.
“We know Comrade Raji Adebayo very well in the Baptist community,” he said. “He has been a steady supporter of the New Heritage Baptist Church and by extension the Nigerian Baptist Convention. This station—NFTV—is a Baptist establishment, and we are always glad to identify with anyone who has consistently identified with us.”
The GM, who engaged the Divine Mandate Team in an extensive interactive session, commended their approach to leadership and urged Comrade Adebayo to uphold the values of fairness, service, and accountability when elected.
He advised: “Leadership is about sacrifice and responsibility. If the members of the Oyo NUJ entrust you with the mandate, ensure you fulfil your promises. Prioritize members’ welfare, promote professionalism, and initiate development-oriented programmes that will impact journalists directly. That is the kind of leadership we are praying for.”
Reverend Durodola further encouraged members of the NFTV Chapel to make full use of the opportunity of the visit to engage the candidate thoroughly. Several questions were asked, and Adebayo responded convincingly—responses that earned him applause from the gathered journalists.
In his remarks, Comrade Adebayo assured the NFTV Chapel of an inclusive and transparent administration. He pledged to run a council where every chapel, unit, and member would be valued and treated equitably.
“My administration will be for all,” he said. “Fairness, equity, and justice will be our guiding principles. No chapel will be sidelined, and no member will be left behind. We will restore confidence, build unity, and ensure that journalists in Oyo State get the respect and welfare they deserve.”
The visit ended with a guided tour of the NFTV facility, where Reverend Durodola showcased the station’s ultramodern broadcast equipment, cutting-edge studio facilities, newsroom operations, and other vital departments. Members of the Divine Mandate Team expressed admiration for the level of professionalism and technological advancement at the station.
