In a massive, coordinated effort to seek divine intervention for a nation grappling with persistent security challenges, the Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has held a special global prayer session across all 360 of its locations worldwide.

Thousands of worshippers, Islamic scholars, and community leaders united simultaneously to supplicate for an end to banditry, kidnapping and terrorism, while pleading for national progress, unity, and economic prosperity in Nigeria.

Speaking at the flagship session, the Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Sheikh Abdul-Azeez Morufu Onike, expressed deep concern over the country’s ongoing security vulnerabilities. While acknowledging the tireless efforts of government and security agencies, he reminded citizens of their own civic duties.

“While government agencies continue to work tirelessly to improve the security situation, citizens also have a collective responsibility to cooperate with security agencies, promote peaceful coexistence, and contribute positively to nation-building,” Sheikh Onike stated.

Also speaking, the President of NASFAT, Alhaji AbdulRauf, urged citizens to maintain a positive disposition toward Nigeria’s leadership.
He noted that national progress accelerates when citizens back their leaders with constructive engagement rather than perpetual cynicism.

AbdulRauf stressed that prayers remain a powerful tool for national transformation and urged citizens to complement prayers with acts of patriotism, unity and commitment to the common good.

He reiterated NASFAT’s commitment to promoting spiritual development, moral values, peaceful coexistence and national cohesion, describing the society’s global prayer initiative as a demonstration of its unwavering dedication to the progress and prosperity of Nigeria.

Special prayers were offered for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, state governors, lawmakers, security personnel and all individuals entrusted with leadership positions across the country. The congregation also prayed for divine wisdom, protection and guidance for those responsible for safeguarding lives and property.

Prayers were equally offered for victims of insecurity and their families, with supplications for comfort, healing and lasting peace across affected communities.

Participants at the programme expressed confidence that sustained prayers, collective efforts and responsible leadership would help restore peace, stability and prosperity in Nigeria. They commended NASFAT for its consistent commitment to spiritual upliftment, nation-building and the promotion of harmony among Nigerians irrespective of religious, ethnic or social differences.

The special prayer programme concluded with fervent supplications for Allah’s mercy, protection and abundant blessings upon Nigeria. Worshippers departed with renewed hope and determination to contribute positively to the nation’s growth, while remaining steadfast in faith and optimistic about a more secure, united and prosperous Nigeria.

The global prayer initiative underscored NASFAT’s position as a leading Islamic organisation committed not only to spiritual development but also to fostering peace, unity and socio-economic advancement within Nigeria and across the international communities where the society operates.
