The Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has forwarded the name of Alh Lawal Ismail Ayansiju as Commissioner Nominee for the state Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport.
Siju Lawal who hails from Sepeteri in Saki East local government area of the state was the representative of Oyo North on the board of Oyo State Road Management Agency (OYSROMA).
Recall that the appointment of the former Commissioner in the Ministry, Prof Raphael Afonja was terminated by the State Government on August 10, 2020.
The Governor forwarded the name of the new Commissioner to the State Legislature on Monday in a letter sent to the Oyo State House of Assembly.
The Commissioner designate is expected to appear before the legislature on the 14th December, 2020 for screening.
Mr. Lawal holds the award of distinction for the overall best student in the degree of MSc in Local Government Studies, 1993-1995 academic year from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and has a B.Ed. in Education Management/Political Science from University of Ibadan.He is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria (FPA/IPAN) and member of several professional bodies.
Mr. Lawal’s industrious career has seen him through textile and construction industries and the teaching profession, before joining the civil service in 1989 where he rose to the position of Director.
