Governor Seyi Makinde has approved the re-modelling of Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan to meet international standard.

The commissioner for youth and sports, Seun Fakorede, who made this known yesterday at his office, noted that there was need for the remodelling of available sports facilities in the state.

The current re-modeling, Fakorede said, is to make the sports complex compete favourably with international sports complexes.

He explained further that the project will commence in Adamasingba, adding that the renovation is essential for the survival and growth of sports and engagement of youths in the state.

According to him, “this again is the first of its kind in Oyo State and I’m sure we are all going to enjoy the development this laudable project will avail the state by the grace of God”.

He thanked the Makinde administration for approving the proposal.
