The People’s Democratic Party candidate for Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the February 25th concluded national election, Hon. Lanre Sarumi has called on the good people of Oyo state to be vigilant and protect their votes from those he called the enemy of the state.
Hon. Lanre Sarumi stated this while speaking to newsmen on Wednesday at his campaign office in Ibadan. Sarumi further stated that the recent unholy alliances by some elements against the re-election of Governor Seyi Makinde can be best described as selfish moves to truncate the accelerated development of the State.
Oyo News reports that he enjoined the people of Oyo State to come out en masse to vote for Governor Seyi Makinde for a second term in preparation for Omituntun 2.0 which is promised to accelerate the ongoing development across the state.
Sarumi said: “we all must come out en masse on Saturday to vote our Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde and all our house of assembly candidates, not just coming out to vote but also to be vigilant and protect our votes against those who are hell-bent on taking us back to Egypt”
Lanre Sarumi further called on the security agents to be proactive towards discharging their duty on election day, so as not to allow the enemies of the state to sabotage the choice of the masses.
