Lagos State Police Command has arrested two land grabbing syndicates, who operate at Ikorodu area of the State.
Oyo News reports that the suspects, (names withheld) were arrested by officers attached to Imota Police Division, under the Lagos Police Force.
A tweet by the Public Relations officer of the Lagos Police command, Benjamin Hundeyin stated that found on the suspects were a locally made semi-automatic pistol, two live ammunition, charms, masquerade regalia and three mobile phones.
He said the suspects suspects confessed to being cultists who work as land grabbers in Ikorodu.
According to him, “at about 1000hrs today, patrol officers from Imota Division stopped two men coming from Sagamu on a motorcycle for a search. Found on them were a locally made semi-automatic pistol, two live ammunition, charms, masquerade regalia and three mobile phones”.
“Suspects confessed to being cultists and working as land grabbers in Ikorodu. Investigation is ongoing”, he concluded.
