Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Wednesday received Assistant Inspector General of Police Zone 8 Ishola Babaita at the Government House, Ilorin.
AIG Ishola Babaita, during the visit reiterated that available data shows that Kwara remains one of the most peaceful states in the Country despite having its share of crime activities but the security hurdles are surmountable.
The State Government has continued to provide security agencies the required support to discharge their responsibilities effectively.
In another development, the General Captain of Team Kwara at the ongoing National Youth Games, Abdulsamad Olarinoye, has expressed satisfaction about their welfare by the Kwara State Government.
According to him, the state contingent to the national contest feels excited with the welfare package of the state government.
Team Kwara has won several medals in various categories of events at the ongoing games.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has also interacted with the state contingent in a video call, commending their feats so far.
The Governor has committed huge resources to sports development in the state including the welfare of athletes.
