Kebbi SUBEB Appoints 21 Education Secretaries

The Kebbi State government has appointed substantive Education Secretaries for the 21 Local Government Education Authorities in the State.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Executive Chairman Kebbi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Professor Sulaiman Khalid and issued by the Board’s Public Relations officer, Isah Kaoje.

The statement further indicated that the Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris approved the appointment on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

The new Education Secretaries are as follows:

1. Mu’awiya Nabara – Aliero LGEA

2. ⁠Basiru Muhammad Kangiwa – Arewa LGEA

3. ⁠Nasiru Yahaya – Argungu LGEA

4. ⁠Bello Hamidu Bayawa – Augie LGEA

5. ⁠Rukayya Hassan Kaoje – Bagudo LGEA

6. ⁠A’ishatu Gado Sahabi – Birnin Kebbi LGEA

7. ⁠Usman Alhaji. Bello – Bunza LGEA

8. ⁠Bashar Idris – Dandi LGEA

9. ⁠Sheikh Abubakar Ribah – Danko/ Wasagu LGEA

10. ⁠Garba B. Sallah- Fakai LGEA

11. ⁠Atiku Abubakar – Gwandu LGEA

12. ⁠Aminu Muhammed Jega – Jega LGEA

13. ⁠Alh. Abdullahi Umar – Kalgo LGEA

14. ⁠Jamilu Yakubu – Koko/Besse LGEA

15. ⁠Dahiru Mungadi – Maiyama LGEA

16. ⁠Abubakar Garba Husaini – Ngaski LGEA

17. ⁠Salihu Muhammad Dantata – Sakaba LGEA

The statement urged all the newly appointed Education Secretaries to report to the Kebbi SUBEB Headquarters for documentation on Tuesday 16th September 2025.

It also read, “They are also to participate, unfailingly, in the Quarterly Meeting of SUBEB Management and Chairmen and Education Secretaries of the LGEAs scheduled to hold on Wednesday 17th September 2025.”
