An Ilorin Chief and Philanthropist, Dr. Agidi Ayinde caused quite a stir in Ibadan when he dashed 38 band boys new two bedroom apartments each.
OYO NEWS reliably gathered that the philanthropic gesture was extended to the musicians during an album launch hosted by Dr. Samuel Gbesabi in Ibadan.
The band boys, including 22 boys who play for Yinka Ayefele and 16 boys with Gbesabi were moved to tears when the philanthropist dolled out the house gifts.
Additionally, Agidi Ayinde gave Gbesabi a sum of One Million naira and a Toyota Corolla.
Dr. Ayinde Agidi is a politician, who started his political career as a Councilor in Mushin Local Government in Lagos State. He was a former Secretary of National Republican Party (NRC) in Mushin, and rose to become Vice Chairman of the Local Government.
Dr. Ayinde attended Bayero University, Kano (BUK) where he bagged B.Ed and today he holds and honourary Doctorate Degree from a prestigious university.
Agidi was an aide to former Lagos State Governor, Sir Michael Otedola and aide to former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON.
The well-attended event was graced by top entertainers, politicians, families and friends of Gbesabi.
Also at the venue to grace the occasion, were the CEO, Fresh FM, Yinka Ayefele, Ace Broadcaster, Kola Olotu among others.
