The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has ordered the redeployment of three top ranking Officers, due to the recent vacuum occasioned by the retirement of some senior Police Officers.
Baba ordered the immediate posting of Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Bala Zama Senchi, as the Ag. DIG Department of Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja and DIG representing North-West Geo-political zone.
This was revealed today in a statement issued by the Ag. Public Relations Officer of the Force, Muyiwa Adejobi.
He equally revealed that the IGP has ordered the redeployment of three Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Aji Ali Janga, Bala Ciroma, and Ndatsu Aliyu Mohammed to man the AIG Police Mobile Force (PMF), AIG Federal Operations (FEDOPS), and AIG Zone 7 Abuja, respectively.
According to the statement, “the posting/redeployment of the senior officers is due to the recent vacuum occasioned by the retirement of some senior Police Officers in the Police force”.
He identified the retirees as, DIG Zaki Ahmed, who represented the North-West Geo-political zone. He was also the immediate past DIG in-charge of Operations.
Also, AIG John Abang, AIG PMF, after the completion of their statutory years of service.
The Inspector-General of Police therefore charged the senior officers to bring their vast experiences and professionalism to bear in the leadership of their respective Departments/Command so as to enhance the ongoing drive at repositioning the Force for improved service delivery.
