Angry youths in Ibadan, on Wednesday, barricaded major roads during a protest over non-availability of new naira notes.Youths

The irate youths barricaded roads with inscriptions on placards, while some erected goal posts on some major roads.

The youths set tyres on fire on the busy road, insisting that government should put an end to the incessant csh crunch being witnessed by Nigerians regularly.

One of the youths, Wale Adeoti told Oyo News that his neighbour lost his wife to the current challenges facing Nigerians.

He said that the side effect of the incessant economic crunch has eaten deep into the state of the Nation, adding that the Central Bank of Nigeria is lackadaisical about Nigerians cry.

The Youth called on the federal government to instruct the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele to provide adequate cash, adding that the situation was becoming worrisome to Nigerians.

Oyo News reports that vehicles have to be diverted at Dugbe road, Challenge road and other major roads.

The police and other security agencies have arrived at the scene and talked to the youths to sheath their sword as necessary steps had been taken to address the issue.
