Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, on Friday graced the Christian Wake Service for Late Mrs Caroline Jegede, mother of Eyitayo Jegede, SAN.

Oyo News reports that the Service was held at St. Thomas Church Events Centre, Akure, the State capital.

Gov. Akeredolu was accompanied to the event by his Deputy, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Also in Gov. Akeredolu’s entourage was his younger brother, Prof. Wole Akeredolu.

Members of the State Executive Council led by the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu joined Governor Akeredolu at the event.

Late Mrs Jegede died at the age of 96.

The Officiating Minister, Reverend Canon Stephen Ogunyemi, while commending Gov. Akeredolu, reiterated that there is time and season for everything.

He urged the congregation to live a rightful and impactful life on earth.

Also with Gov. Akeredolu at the event were member of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Toluwani Borokini; Wife of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mrs Olu Mustapha, PDP National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN among others.
